Position:  Project Engineer

Successful candidate will work with senior project managers and application engineers to develop and deliver vision-based solutions to our customers. Candidate will be responsible for installation, programming, and onsite or remote customer support for our systems.


Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related

  • Associates Degree in Mechatronics or related

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Adaptable to new technologies

  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • Willingness for domestic and international travel as required


Additional Experience and Knowledge Desired:

  • 0-3 years of experience in industrial and/or manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of industrial PLC logic and methods

  • Applied application experience with robotics and machine vision

  • Familiarity with statistical process control analysis techniques (SPC)

  • Strong mathematical background

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Capable of understanding electrical drawings

  • Intern or Co-op experience in automotive manufacturing facilities

 

Position:  Software Development Project Engineer

You will be maintaining new and existing software written using Delphi and Polyworks Macro Script Control Language. You will be part of a two-man team. You must be able to collaborate in an organized and efficient manner. You must be capable of self-managing while still keeping the team informed. This job requires you to be flexible and prioritize your own tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Gathering user feedback from customers and internal employees​

  2. Fixing bugs and adding new functionality to the software

  3. Thoroughly testing the changes made

  4. Documenting changes for the benefit of the development team as well as the end user

  5. Helping the end user to implement the updates (this often requires onsite support)

There will be ample opportunities to assist in tasks outside of computer programming. These opportunities include more traditional engineering work like robotics or physical installations.


Required Skills:

  • 2-3 years computer programming experience (Python, C, C++, Matlab, etc.) This can include college classes. It does not need to be on the job experience.

  • Solid mathematical background

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to use Microsoft office particularly PowerPoint and Excel

  • Basic understanding of XML structure (HTML or similar)

  • Basic understanding of command line interface (batch files, Powershell, etc.)


Preferred Skills:

  • 3D modeling experience (Polyworks, Solidworks, Catia, NX, etc.)

  • Robotics experience

  • PLC experience

Position:   Automation Controls Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer location for on-site cell integration through customer buyoff, operator/maintenance training, and production support as required

  • Development of PLC and HMI files in adherence to customer specific controls standards

  • Draft of operational manuals, maintenance documentation, and bills of material for all projects; ensuring adherence to, and completion of all project requirements

  • Design and setup of in-house validation and customer demonstration cells for vision and controls integration

  • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree)

  • Travel up to 75% as required to support projects

  • International travel as required

Beneficial Experience:

  • Experience in controls software design, including: Rockwell Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Siemens Step 7, Siemens SIMATIC WinCC, FactoryTalk View Studio, RSLinx, RSNetWorx for DeviceNet, 2D AutoCAD, EPLAN Electrical, and Ignition or other SCADA systems

  • Experience in Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, or other industrial communication design

  • Experience in 480 VAC, 240/120 VAC, and 24 VDC power/control circuits design including sizing of control transformers, fuses and circuit breakers, contactors and relays, wire and cables, and pneumatic controls

  • Experience in confirming to safety and operational standardization including Lockout/Tagout, NEMA, OSHA, NFPA, and others

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial designs including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and communications systems

Position:   Automation Controls Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)

Responsibilities:

  • Full-cell control hardware design and component selection including safety, motion control, pneumatic, operator interface, and networking components

  • Schematic drafting for master control and power distribution panels, cell wiring diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams

  • Development of PLC and HMI files in adherence to customer specific controls standards

  • Draft of operational manuals, maintenance documentation, and bills of material for all projects; ensuring adherence to, and completion of all project requirements

  • On-site integration through customer buyoff, operator/maintenance training, and production support as required

  • Design and setup of in-house validation and customer demonstration cells for vision and controls integration

  • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree)

  • Travel as required to support projects, up to 20% annual
